ClubI am a member of Race Cat Club Swiss, which is one of the few independent cat clubs in Switzerland. It is not affiliated with any cat association, but nevertheless is has strict guidelines with regard to breeding and general treatment of cats.
I decided to join an independent cat club since the Swiss Feline Federation (FFH) is affiliated with the FIFé, which unfortunately still doesn't recognize the Tonkinese breed. I also thought about joining the CFA or TICA, but decided against it, since the SOP for Tonkinese of these associations differs from the SOP of the GCCF; also it doesn't recognize the same/all the colors that the GCCF does.
To my knowledge it is not possible to be a member of the GCCF, if one is not a resident of the UK. Nevertheless I aim to breed Tonkinese of the English type, according to the SOP of the GCCF.
I'm also a member of the IG Tonkinesen & Tibeter (Interest Group for Tonkinese and Tibetan), the first of its kind for the German speaking countries.
