Die Tonkanese gibt es in vielen Farben. Nebst den Grundfarben Brown (Natural), Blue, Chocolate (Champagne) und Lilac (Platinum) gibt es ausserdem noch Caramel, Cinnamon (Honey) und Fawn. Dazu kommen dann noch Rot, Cream, Apricot und die entsprechenden Torties. Alle Farben sind ausserdem auch mit Tabby anerkannt. Aufgrund der Genetik der Tonkanese treten alle Farben in den drei Maskenintensitäten Mink, Point und Sepia (Solid) auf.
